EAST COUNTY– On Thursday afternoon, the Pct. 4 Constable’s Office Tactical Team responded to 21920 Southpark in New Caney in reference to a narcotics investigation. They found four people on location, including Lonnie Free, Zachary Free, Cynthia Duby, and Thomas Wood.
Deputies discovered a glass smoking pipe containing methamphetamine in Zachary Free’s pocket and Lonnie Free voluntarily handed over marijuana and a small metal container with a clear bag containing methamphetamine inside.
Cynthia Duby, who was sitting a vehicle parked on the driveway, denied deputies consent to search her vehicle. A Pct. 4 narcotics detection K-9 was deployed and signaled a positive odor response on Duby’s vehicle where deputies recovered a useable amount of marijuana. When they asked Duby if she had any additional contraband, she produced a small plastic bag containing methamphetamine that was stashed in her bra.
Thomas Wood did not have illegal drugs on his person, but had an active warrant for his arrest on the charge of Failure to Appear.
Deputies arrested all four suspects at the residence.
During the course of the investigation, a suspicious adult female on a bicycle committed a moving violation while traveling on Southpark and turning on FM 1485.
