Parts of Montgomery County will see scattered showers today and tomorrow. Please keep in mind that the ground is saturated and any amount of rainfall could quickly produce flash flooding and cause additional rise in already swollen rivers and creeks.
The National Weather Service has extended the Flash Flood Watch for Montgomery County until Wednesday morning. With the forecast of more rain there is a possibility for this watch to be extended. Please keep monitoring the Emergency Management website www.mctxoem.org and other local news outlets.
Evacuations are underway for Timber Lakes Timber Ridge.
There are three Red Cross shelter locations in Montgomery County to serve those displaced by flooding.

We continue to monitor the following waterways through the National Weather Service River Forecast Center:
· East Fork of the San Jacinto New Caney- forecast to crest at Major flood stage at 10:00am Thursday April 21st at 21.3 feet.
· West Fork of the San Jacinto near Porter- forecast to crest at Minor flood stage at 4:00am Wednesday April 20th at 34.7 feet.
· Spring Creek- forecast to crest at Major Flood stage at 7:00pm Tuesday April 19th at 107.2 feet.
