A Cleveland couple went to jail after Deputy Ford stopped their vehicle near the intersection of Morgan Cemetery and Fostoria Dr. on April 30, around 11 p.m. Deputy Ford stopped the car driven by 21-year-old Kimberly Anne Kinn and occupied by 25-year-old Brandon Michael Burt of Cleveland. Both suspects denied any contraband was inside of the vehicle, but a search revealed two controlled substances (Xanax and Lorcet pills) and marijuana. The pills were located in the passenger seat and the marijuana was on the driver’s side of the car. Burt claimed ownership of the pills and the marijuana and was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of marijuana. Despite Burt’s claim the marijuana was his, Kinn was also charged with possession of marijuana since it was on her side of the car and both initially denied ownership.
