MONTGOMERY COUNTY RECORDS IT’S FIRST FATAL ACCIDENT FOR 2011

Approximately 2:20am this morning as a Montgomery County Deputy was on routine patrol near the intersection Alden Woods and SH 242 he spotted a black Honda Civic in the trees close to the Crossroads Baptist Church building. After further investigation he found Jacquelyn Marie Duffy, 22 unresponsive. He then called EMS and DPS.

Woodlands Fire Department responded to the scene as did PHI Air Medical. As the removed the victim from the vehicle and were about to load her on PHI she went into traumatic arrest. She was then transported by ground to Herman Woodlands where she was pronounced dead in surgery just before 5:30am.

This makes Montgomery County’s first fatal accident for the year of 2011.

The vehicle which was westbound on SH 242 appeared to have left the left side of the roadway, Came back on the road and then crossed before hitting a tree with the drivers door.

At this hour DPS is still working to make notification of the family as the young ladies drivers license and license plate addresses are incorrect.

SH 242 which was closed for about two hours has been reopened.
