MONTGOMERY COUNTY SHERIFF’S MUSEUM TO OPEN

On Monday, December 19, 2016, at 9:00 AM, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Montgomery County Citizens Police Academy Alumni will be celebrating the opening of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Museum.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Museum features four displays beginning with Sheriff

A.E. “Gene” Reaves era from 1961 through 1981, Sheriff Joe Corley from 1981 through 1993, Sheriff Guy Williams from 1993 through 2005, and Sheriff Tommy Gage from 2005 through 2017. In addition to these displays, there is a display case with the first motorcycle used at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in the main lobby.

The Montgomery County Citizens Police Academy Alumni funded the museum project and will maintain it as well. Guided tours to the public are available by appointment only, since most of the museum cases are located in secured areas of the administration building of the Sheriff’ Office.

Media is invited to attend the event. The event will occur at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Administrative Wing at #1 Criminal Justice Drive, in Conroe, Texas. Attendees will include Sheriff Tommy Gage, Sheriff Elect Rand Henderson, past Sheriff Joe Corley and past Sheriff Guy Williams.
