MONTGOMERY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE WEEKLY BLOTTER–SEPTEMBER 6, 2012

District 1 – Lt. Jim Fleming (North County)

On August 27, Deputy J. West was sent to a business parking lot in the 12600 block of I-45 in reference to a possible intoxicated male.  The Deputy located the male and found him to be intoxicated. The 48 year old male from Huntsville was arrested at 2:35am and taken to jail.

A 54 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 1:05am, August 28, and taken to jail from a residence on Grangerland Road by Sgt. E. Ward for a theft warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was on a warrant service.
On August 28, Deputy S. Ortiz stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the 14000 block of Shadow Bay.  The male driver was found to be operating the vehicle with an invalid driver’s license. The 44 year old male from Willis was arrested at 11:27am.  A 47 male passenger, also from Willis, in the vehicle, was found to have five traffic warrants out of Montgomery County. Both males were transported to jail.

On August 28, Deputy S. Ortiz stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the 14000 block of Bimbo Lane.  During the investigation the female driver was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm.  The 41 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 4:05pm and taken to jail.

A 36 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 7:10pm, August 29, and taken to jail from a residence on FM 1485 by Deputy C. Santoro for a motion to revoke probation warrant out of Brazoria County.  The Deputy was on a warrant service.

A 37 year old male from Willis was arrested a 9:29pm, August 29, and taken to jail from a residence on Camp Creek Way by Deputy S. Degner for a terroristic threat warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was on a warrant service.

On August 29, Deputy C. Santoro stopped a vehicle on a traffic stop in the 200 block of Easy Street.  The male driver was found to be operating the vehicle with an invalid driver’s license. The 37 year old male from Willis was arrested at 9:46pm and taken to jail.

A 23 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 6:54pm, August 30, and taken to jail from the 17100 block of Old Hwy 105E by Deputy S. Degner for a fail to appear warrant out of Montgomery County.  The Deputy was investigating a disturbance call.

A 32 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 11:26pm, August 30, and taken to jail from a residence on Lovelady Drive by Deputy Z. Winford for a traffic warrant out of Montgomery County JP 1. The Deputy was investigating a disturbance call.

On August 31, Deputy K. Berger stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the 15000 block of FM 1484. During the investigation the male driver was found to be in possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and also a fraudulent prescription. The 33 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 11:02am and transported to jail.

A 23 year old female from Highlands, TX, was arrested at 11:59am, August 31, and taken to jail from a residence on Crockett Forest Drive for a blue warrant (violation of parole) out of TDCJ. The Deputy was investigating a disturbance call.
On August 31, Deputy S. Squier was sent to a residence on Crockett Martin Road in reference to a family violence assault. The Deputy met with a female complainant who advised her son had torn the oven door off and had pushed her down causing injury to her left elbow.  The 17 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 6:51pm and taken to jail.
A 26 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 10:35pm, August 31, and taken to jail from a residence on Boyd Lane by Sgt. E. Ward for a fail to appear warrant out of Montgomery County JP 3.  The Deputy was investigating a disturbance call.

A 39 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 10:55pm, September 1, and taken to jail from a residence on Dogwood by Sgt. E. Ward for an assault warrant out of Montgomery County.  The Deputy was on a warrant service.

On September 2, Deputy S. Ortiz stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the 500 block of N 6th Street.  The male driver was found to be operating the vehicle with an invalid driver’s license. During the investigation the driver was also found to be in possession of marijuana.  The 31 year old male from Cleveland was arrested at 7:12am and transported to jail.

On September 2, Deputy K. Winford was notified of a disturbance in the 11500 block of West     FM 1097 with a possible intoxicated male on location.  The Deputy located the male who was being belligerent and causing a disturbance. The 55 year old male from Montgomery was arrested at 9:42pm and taken to jail.

District 2 – Lt. Brady Fitzgerald (South County)

On 09-03-12 at approximately 0600, Deputy Fruge met with other Deputies who were on had detained two males from Spring.  It was determined that the two were intoxicated and they arrested for Public Intoxication.

On 09-03-12 at approximately 0800, Deputy Fruge received a welfare check at an address on Sawdust Rd.  Upon his arrival, he met with a white male.  Through his investigation it was determined that the male was intoxicated and he was arrested for Public Intoxication.
On 08-28-12 at approximately 0300, Deputy Knight was dispatched to the area of I.H. 45 North bound feeder, near Rayford Rd., in reference to a possible intoxicated driver.  Deputy Knight observed the vehicle driving erratically.  He conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the male drive from Houston.  Upon Deputy Knight’s investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated and he was arrested for DWI.

On 08-29-12 at approximately 1000, Deputy Fruge conducted a follow up investigation at an address on Brown Bark Dr.  While he was conducting his investigation, it was learned a female from Magnolia had outstanding warrants.  She was arrested and transported to MCSO Jail. 

On 08-30-12 at approximately 1855, Sgt. Russell conducted a traffic stop on I.H. 45 near F.M. 1488.  During his investigation, it was learned that the driver, a male from Pasadena, did not have insurance and his driver’s license was suspended.  He was arrested for DWLI Previous Conviction, and transported to MCSO Jail.

 

District 3 – Lt. Darrel Conn (East County)

On 8/29/12 Deputy Gratz was dispatched to Morris St. in reference to a criminal mischief.  It was reported that a male was outside arguing with someone and breaking windows.  Upon arrival the deputy made contact with the male and determined that he was intoxicated and the glass he was breaking had been to his own home.  The suspect, a 32 year old male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

On 8/30/12 Deputy Bartoskewitz was on patrol on Loop 494 and observed a vehicle not dim their headlights for oncoming traffic.  A traffic stop was conducted and he observed the driver showed signs of intoxication.  Field sobriety tests were given and the driver was shown to be intoxicated.  The suspect, a 22 year old male from Kingwood was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated which was enhanced due to a previous conviction.

On 8/30/12 Deputy Amstutz was dispatched to the 24000 block of FM 1314 in reference to a welfare concern about a female that had been passed out on a bench with a needle sticking out of her arm.  Upon officers making contact with the female a small amount of methamphetamine was recovered in her belongings.  The suspect, a 21 year old female from Conroe was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and 8 outstanding traffic warrants.

On 8/30/12 Deputy Bautista was dispatched to the Porter Wal-Mart in reference to a Shoplifter.  Upon arrival he learned that the suspect had attempted to leave the store without paying for $126 worth of merchandise.  The suspect, a 30 year old female from Cleveland was arrested and charged with Theft.

On 8/31/12 Deputy Morris was on patrol at Hwy 59 @ F.M. 1314 and observed a vehicle go through the red light.  Upon stopping the driver he observed signs of intoxication.  Field sobriety tests were given and the suspect was shown to be intoxicated.  The suspect, a 27 year old male from Porter was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On 9/1/12 Deputy Martinez was dispatched to Peach Creek Dr. in reference to a disturbance.  Upon arrival the deputy met with the victim who stated that she had been assaulted by her husband.  The suspect, a 30 year old male from New Caney was arrested and charged with Assault Family Violence.

On 9/1/12 Deputy Logan was dispatched to the 23000 block of Hwy. 59 due to a male passed out in front of a business. Upon arrival he found that the man was intoxicated and did not live in the area and did not have anywhere to go.  The suspect, a 52 year old male from Lafayette, LA was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

On 9/1/12 Deputy Burk was dispatched to the Porter Wal-Mart in reference to a Shoplifter.  Upon arrival he learned that the suspect had attempted to leave the store without paying for $78 worth of merchandise.  The suspect, a 53 year old male from New Caney was arrested and charged with Theft.

On 9/3/12 Deputy Amstutz was dispatched to the Porter Wal-Mart in reference to a Shoplifter.  Upon arrival he learned that the suspect had attempted to leave the store without paying for $17 worth of merchandise.  The suspect, a 57 year old female from Porter was arrested and charged with Theft which was enhanced due to a previous conviction.

On 9/3/12 Deputy Voris was dispatched to the Porter Wal-Mart in reference to a Shoplifter.  Upon arrival he learned that the suspect had attempted to leave the store without paying for $237 worth of merchandise.  The suspect, a 37 year old male from Splendora was arrested and charged with Theft and also an outstanding Theft warrant.

Warrants Served

On 8/30/12 Sgt. Miller arrested a 42 year old female from Conroe for a Failure to Appear Warrant.

On 8/30/12 Deputy T. Smith arrested a 25 year old male from Kingwood for an Assault Family Violence warrant.

On 8/30/12 Sgt. Miller arrested a 42 year old female from Conroe for Failure to Appear warrant.

On 9/1/12 Deputy White arrested a 55 year old female from New Caney for a Issuance of a Bad Check warrant.

On 9/3/12 Deputy Amstutz arrested a 30 year old male from Porter for a Failure to Appear warrant.

District 4 – Lt. David Park (West County)

On September 3rd Deputy Crandell was dispatched to a Welfare Concern in the 37000 block of Persimmon where the Reportee discovered a female in the passenger seat of his vehicle.  Upon arrival the Deputy met with a 31 year old female subject who appeared to be extremely intoxicated.  Deputy Crandell placed the subject into custody for Public Intoxication.

On September 3rd Sergeant Gonzales located a 21 year old male on Middle Trail.  The subject had an open warrant out of Montgomery County for Burglary of a Vehicle.  The Sergeant placed the subject into custody.

On September 1st Deputy Allen was dispatched to a Welfare Concern in the 32000 block of SH 249 where a 42 year old male was passed out in the parking lot of a bar.  Upon arrival Deputy Allen identified the subject and Dispatch notified him the subject had five outstanding warrants for traffic offenses.  Deputy Allen placed the subject into custody for the Warrants.

On September 1st Deputy Curry was dispatched to Violet Lane in reference to Family Violence.  Upon arrival the Deputy met with a 27 year old male standing in front of the residence.  The subject advised he had been arguing with his wife.   The subject’s wife advised that her husband assaulted her.  Deputy Curry placed the subject in custody for Assault.

On September 1st Sergeant Gonzales stopped a 30 year old male in the 6900 block of Jackson Road for Speeding.  A routine status/warrant check showed the subject’s license suspended several times and he had prior convictions for DWLI.  Sergeant Gonzales placed the subject into custody for DWLI.

On September 1st Deputy Allen initiated a traffic stop in the 17000 block of FM 1488.  The Deputy identified the 32 year old male and was notified by dispatch that the subject had two Felony warrants out of San Jacinto County.  The subject was placed into custody for the warrants and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On August 30th Deputy Thomas was dispatched to a Welfare Check in the 10900 block of FM 1488 at a store.  Upon arrival the Deputy was able to wake the clerk.  The 56 year old male was stumbling as he walked and had a very strong odor of alcohol.  Deputy Thomas placed the subject into custody for Public Intoxication and a morning shift employee arrived to take control of the business.

On August 26th Deputy Mittag arrived at Woodtrace Blvd and Wright Road to serve a Warrant on a 39 year old male for Theft.  The subject was located and the subject was taken into custody.

On August 26th Deputy Mittag arrived at Woodtrace Blvd and Wright Road to serve a Warrant on a 19 year old male subject for Possession of Marijuana.  The subject was located and the subject taken into custody.

District 5 – Lt. Gary Welch   (Northwest County)

August 30th Deputy Treille was on patrol in the 16400 block of Eastchase when he came across a male sitting in the roadway. Upon making contact with the male they found that he had an outstanding warrant. The subject was arrested and placed in jail.

August 31st Deputy Davis responded to the 13300 block of Enchanted Way in regards to a Burglary of a Vehicle. The complainant reported that someone had entered their unlocked vehicle and stole numerous items. This case is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division.

August 31st Deputy Howze responded to the 15700 block of FM 149 in regards to an Assault. Deputies learned that a father and his adult son had been involved in physical altercation. The son was arrested for Assault and placed in jail.

September 2nd Sr. Sgt. Smith responded to Forest Circle in regards to Burglary. The complainant reported that someone forced entry into his residence and stole various articles. The complainant also reported that a trailer and lawn equipment was stolen. This case is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division and Auto Theft Task Force.

September 2nd Sgt. Suarez conducted a Traffic Stop on a vehicle in the 14300 block of SH 105 W. Upon making contact with the male driver it was suspicioned the subject was under the influence of alcohol. The subject was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and placed in jail.  

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

On 08/29/12, Deputy Ross was dispatched to 1201 Lake Woodlands in reference to a shoplifter.  Upon arrival at the scene Loss Prevention had the subject in question detained for Theft.  When the loss prevention officer tried to detain the suspect the suspect struggled and the loss prevention officer was slightly injured. The theft charge was upgraded to a Robbery.  The 32 year old Conroe resident was placed in custody.

On 08/29/12, Deputy Hollan was dispatched to the 1400 block of Sawdust Road for an assault.  Upon arrival Deputies found that the female had been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. The 30 year old Woodlands male was placed in custody.

On 08/29/12, Deputy Burnett was traveling on Woodlands Parkway when he noticed a black sedan traveling with a brake light out.  The vehicle was stopped and the operator showed to have a Suspended Texas drivers’ license.  The 33 year old male from Spring was arrested for the above charge.

On 09/02/12, Deputy Sharman observed a traffic violation in the area of Research Forest Drive and Branch Crossing Drive.  The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with the driver.  During the initial contact, the Deputy could smell a strong odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle. The deputy found a small amount of marijuana and the 20 year old Woodlands male was then arrested for Possession of Marijuana and transported to Conroe for booking purposes.

On 08/30/12, Deputy Trapani was dispatched to the 10000 block of Woodlands Parkway in reference to a Theft.  Upon arrival Deputy Trapani made contact with the Complainant of the business and found that the suspect had taken over $600 in merchandise from the business.  The female was detained for the shoplifting theft investigation.  The 38 year old Plantersville resident was arrested and booked into jail.
