Flooding concerns continue to increase for later this weekend into next week as another round of heavy rain sets its sights on southeast TX. In addition, increasing southerly winds ahead of this system will increase moderate to rough surf/beach conditions for the Holiday weekend (especially Sunday and Monday).
We could see additional 4-5″ average totals, with isolated higher amounts, from this event. Although flooding is main threat, the conditions may favor a few tornadoes with the stronger cells as well Sunday into Monday.
