More Narcotics Off the Streets of Precinct 5

On December 2, 2019 Deputies with the Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constables Department stopped a vehicle for multiple traffic violations on Dobbin Huffsmith Rd. in Magnolia, Texas.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Rhonda Lozano a 46-year-old white female from Spring, Texas. The passenger in the vehicle was identified as Cameron Smith a 23-year-old white male from Tomball, Texas. Rhonda told Deputies that she was on probation for a previous possession of a controlled substance conviction. Rhonda was asked for permission to search her vehicle and she told the Deputies no. At that time a Precinct 5 Sergeant and his K9 Kaution were called and arrived at the traffic stop. K9 Kaution conducted an open-air sniff of Rhonda’s vehicle and positively alerted to the odor of drugs coming from the vehicle. During a probable cause search of the vehicle a bag containing 128.1 grams of marijuana, a vape cartridge containing less than 1 gram of THC and $1,490.00 cash was found. Both subjects were Mirandized and understood they were under arrest. Rhonda and Cameron were taken to the Montgomery County Jail and released to jail staff. While traveling to the jail Cameron threatened Deputies and stated he would harm them when he was released from jail. Upon arriving at the jail a baggie containing 2 separate baggies of Cocaine were found in Rhonda’s clothes weighing 1.6 grams.
Rhonda was arrested for Possession of a controlled substance PG 1 a third-degree felony, Possession of a controlled substance PG 2 a state jail felony and for Possession of Marijuana a state jail felony. Cameron was arrested for Possession of Marijuana a state jail felony and for Retaliation a third-degree felony. The money was seized as illegal profits from narcotics sales.

Constable Chris Jones comments: “The Precinct 5 Constable’s Office has increased its patrol in all areas of the Precinct. We will continue to pursue criminals moving in and out of the Precinct and work hard to shut down drug trafficking operations. It is the goal of this Department to allow the citizens in this County to feel safe in their communities.”
