More robberies in The Woodlands

SOUTH MONTGOMERY COUNTY– The Woodlands has been plagued by robberies in recent months and this week as no exception, with two robberies in two days on the same street.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office issued the following statements:

Thursday:
Aggravated Robbery

At approximately 1:08 p.m. the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a robbery at the CVS Pharmacy at 4775 W. Panther Creek in The Woodlands. Deputies arrived at approximately 1:13 p.m. and learned that the pharmacy had just been robbed at gunpoint.

Law enforcement officers converged in the area but a suspect was not located.
The suspect was described as a white male from 18-25 years old wearing a black colored baseball cap, light brown short hair, a white long sleeve shirt, light colored cargo short pants and tennis shoes.

The suspect was armed with a handgun and demanded pharmaceuticals from the pharmacy staff. The employee complied with the request and the suspect left on foot running south toward Woodlands Parkway. A vehicle was not seen.

Wednesday:
Bank Robbery

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to a hold up alarm at the Chase Bank located at 4755 West Panther Creek in The Woodlands at 1:51 p.m.

When deputies arrived at approximately 1:53 p.m. they found that the bank had been robbed by a white male, described as, 5’09-5’10, medium build, wearing a maroon long sleeve shirt, blue pants and athletic shoes. The male was also wearing a brown baseball hat and yellow tinted glasses and a surgical style mask.

The male did not appear to be armed but demanded money from the bank teller who complied by giving the suspect an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then fled the bank on foot heading west on a bike path.

The suspect was described as being in his late 30’s to early 40’s.
