Just as troopers finished working a major accident in which a motorcycle rear ended a Ford truck at Marina Drive and SH 105 another motorcycle driver decided to get stupid. While at the light at Marina and SH 105 the driver kept throttling his engine up. A Montgomery County deputy and a DPS trooper pulled behind him. When they attempted to stop him as he went through the intersection he sped off at high speed. DPS and Montgomery County pursued the motorcycle to South Pine Lake and SH 105 where the driver attempted to run south on South Pine Lake. It was at that point a crashed his bike in the gravel. The driver then jumped off and tried to run but was quickly taken into custody.
His motorcycle was towed and may be seized.
The driver not yet identified was then to the hospital with minor injuries.
