MULTI COUNTY GAME ROOM RAID A SUCCESS

Thursday afternoon just after 3 pm Montgomery County SIU along with Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables Office raided two game rooms at the same time. The first was called Casa Blanka located at Loop 494 and Spears Road. Inside they arrested three people for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Gambling Promotion, Keeping a Gambling Place and Possession of a Gambling Device.  Also thirty  citations were written for Illegal Gambling a Class C Misdemeanor.

The second location, Seven Swords located on the southbound feeder of US 59 just south of FM 1314. There five felony arrests and seventeen citations were written. In all between the two  officials seized almost 100 motherboards from the illegal 8-Liners and almost $30,000.

Just after this was done Liberty County worked at raiding three locations along US 59. One just north of the Montgomery County Line, Another only 1 mile north of the first and a third near the northern Cleveland City Limits. Not of these three displayed a name of the business  However, one was sharing a building with a tattoo shop.

From these three businesses Liberty County Precinct 6, Liberty County Precinct 1, Liberty County Precinct 4 and Cleveland Police Department arrested at least four persons and wrote multiple citations. Once again almost 100 8-liners had motherboards removed and a still not totaled amount of cash.

Woah, there, Mr. Engle. Yes it is illegal but I, and obviously others too, feel that the time and money being wasted on closing these game rooms could be better spent. I don’t have suggestions as to where to better spend this money, but let me say this, “ANYWHERE ELSE!” And if that old man and his social security check are having a good time, then leave him alone! It’s his money to spend as he wishes. No different than buying smokes or booze or strippers now, is it!?!

AFTER SPEAKING WITH SEVERAL GAME ROOM EMPLOYEES TI SEEMS THAT THEY ALL AGREED “IT IS BETTER TO WORK AT A GAME ROOM THAN TO NOT WORK AT ALL” SO,CONGRATULATIONS LAW ENFORCEMENT HOW MANY PEOPLE DID YOU PUT ON WELFARE? 100’S OR 1000’S? PLEASE RESPOND……P.S.VOTERS, THINK ABOUT WHO YOU ARE VOTING FOR. MAKE AN EDUCATED CHOICE.YOU KNOW,THAT’S WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT…ELECTIONS [IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN]

Maybe some unemployed but what about the elderly man who used his entire social security check to hope to win and then in addition after it was gone they allowed him to post date a check for next month when his social security check comes in. You say it is election time. Google Montgomery County Gamerooms and see how many years this has been going on. Not just this year or last or five years ago. The law says it is illegal so what do we do let the drunks keep driving even though it is illegal. How many times has gambling come up in legislative sessions and how many times shot down. Did you vote for the guy who shot it down? Maybe you should change your vote since you say it is election time and vote for someone who won’t shoot it down. Oh and hope all the others don’t shoot it down either.
