Thursday morning at 2 a.m., a resident on Carol Drive in Splendora spotted smoke coming from a neighbors mobile home. He immediately started knocking and woke the two female residents inside. They were able to escape, but it is believed their dog did not.
Moments later Splendora firefighters arrived to find the mobile home totally in flames and almost flat on the ground. There were also two other homes threatened by the blaze, but with teh assistance of the New Caney, Porter, Caney Creek and Plum Grove Fire Departments they were able to contain the blaze to the one structure.
There were no injuries on the scene.
