On August 12, 2018, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Wal-Mart on US 59 in New Caney. The deputies were informed that the white male and a black male suspect stole 3 hoverboards on August 1, 2018.
According to video surveillance, the suspect in the blue shirt and camo hat were dropped off in the front of the store by another black male who was driving a white Chevrolet Suburban. The suspect then enters Walmart and proceeds to the sporting goods section where he selects 3 hoverboards from the shelf. The suspect then goes to the Garden Center where he exited the store without paying for the boards. The suspect then placed the 3 hoverboards in the white Suburban. Video also shows the driver of the Suburban park the vehicle and then enter the store through the Garden Center. Once inside the driver proceeds to the housewares section where he removes a vacuum cleaner from the shelf. After walking around the store the suspect leaves the vacuum cleaner and returns to the Chevrolet Suburban at which time he leaves the parking lot.
