November 2, 2010 Weekly Media Summary & “BLOTTER” Review

District 1 – Lt. Jim Fleming (North County)

On October 25, Deputy K. Berger observed a vehicle driving on the shoulder of the road on Hwy 105 East. There were no other vehicles in sight or debris on the main lanes. The Deputy followed the vehicle and observed several other traffic violations. The vehicle was stopped in the 3000 block of Waukegan. The male driver was found to be intoxicated. The 36 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 3:42am, charged with DWI 3rd and transported to jail.

On October 25, Deputies J. Fluellen and S. Degner were notified of a family violence assault in progress in the 13600 block of FM 1314. The Deputies met with a female complainant who advised her boyfriend had struck her several times on the face causing cuts on her lip and red marks near her eye. The male had also choked her to the point she could not breathe. Witnesses confirmed the actions that took place by the male. The 47 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 9:53pm and taken to jail.

On October 25, Deputy D. Pena was sent to the 13000 block of FM 830 in reference to a burglary in progress. On arrival the Deputy observed a Willis PD officer detaining a male. The Deputy spoke with a witness that advised the male had been in a vehicle near the storage buildings where a door lock had been cut. During the investigation it was found that three doors had been opened. A large generator was found in the vehicle along with bolt cutters and a large crescent wrench. During a search of the male the Deputy located a controlled substance. The 40 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 10:27pm, charged with burglary of a building and possession of a controlled substance and transported to jail.

On October 26, Deputies J. Fluellen and S. Degner were advised of a reckless driver in the area of Willis Waukegan Road. The vehicle was located by another Deputy. The 41 year old female driver was found to be intoxicated on beer and valium. The female from Conroe was arrested at 7:00pm and transported to jail.

On October 27, Deputies J. Fluellen and S. Degner were dispatched to the 12600 block of FM 1097 in reference to a disturbance in progress. The Deputies met with a female who stated she and her common law husband had been arguing. The male then kicked her in the abdominal area and grabbed her by the throat, choking her to the point she could not breathe. He then took a knife from his belt and held it close to her neck threatening her. The 25 year old male from Willis was arrested at 6:31pm, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and transported to jail.

A 28 year old female from Magnolia was arrested at 7:15pm at #1 Criminal Justice Drive by Deputy S. Degner for a DWI surety to surrender warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy received the female from bounty hunters. The female was placed in jail.

A 47 year old female from Willis was arrested at 1:41am in the 9700 block of Black Gum by Deputy K. Berger for an injury to a child warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was on an assault call. The female was taken to jail.

On October 29, Deputy K. Berger was notified of a family violence assault call in the 11900 block of Douget Road. The Deputy met with a female complainant who advised she and her husband had gotten into an argument that became physical. He struck her on the knee area and pushed her in the chest area. The male was intoxicated and started destroying things in the house. They continued to argue and he threatened her. The 52 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 11:02pm and taken to jail.

On October 30, Deputy K. Underwood observed a vehicle pulling out of a driveway in the 12800 block of Rocky Road. The Deputy observed something hanging out of the rear passenger door but could not tell what it was. The Deputy was finally able to stop the vehicle near the intersection of Rocky Road and SI Terry Road. The object hanging out the door was a dirt bike. During the investigation it was found the male driver had broken into a garage on Rocky Road and stolen the dirt bike, a gas can, a drill and charger. Also the male was found to be in possession of marijuana and a controlled substance. The 22 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 3:54am and transported to jail.

On October 31, Deputy D. Pena was sent to the 13300 block of Creekwood Lane in reference to an assault in progress. The Deputy met with a female complainant who stated her estranged husband had come to her door and forced his way in looking for the female’s boyfriend. The male found him asleep and held a box cutter up and threatened to kill him. The female’s daughter called for law enforcement. Upon hearing this, the male left and went to a neighbor’s house. The male was located and detained. The 38 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 1:24am, charged with burglary of a habitation and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was taken to jail.

On October 31, Deputy K. Berger was dispatched to a disturbance in the 18600 block of Molk Road. This was the second call at the location during the night. An argument was taking place while the Deputy was there and an intoxicated male was detained. The 21 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 3:51am and transported to jail.

On October 31, Deputies J. Fluellen and S. Degner responded to the 12300 block of FM 830 in reference to a suspicious person call. The Deputies located a male and female both of whom were intoxicated. The two had been knocking on doors and harassing the residents of the park. The 30 year old female and 37 year old male, both from Willis, were arrested at 9:33pm, charged with public intoxication and taken to jail.

District 2 – Lt. Brady Fitzgerald (South County)

On October 19, 2010, Sergeant Hammons observed a vehicle exit IH-45 almost striking another vehicle that was traveling on the service road. The suspect vehicle continued to swerve across lane markers and took approximately a ¼ mile to pull over after Sergeant Hammons initiated a traffic stop. The driver, 26-year-old male from Conroe, appeared lethargic, had extremely slurred speech, and had difficulty maintaining his balance. Deputy Maldonado and Deputy Swank arrived to assist with the traffic stop. Deputy Maldonado conducted several Standardized Field Sobriety tests with the driver. Due to the drivers intoxicated state, the driver was unable to perform the tests correctly. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On October 24, 2010, Deputy Zavorski observed a vehicle on IH-45 at Woodlands Parkway, changing lanes and maneuvering around other vehicles in a reckless manner while traveling in excess of 100 mph. Deputy Zavorski initiated a traffic stop, at which time they were traveling at 121 mph for over ½ mile. The driver, 18-year-old male from Ft. Worth, stated he was traveling back to Huntsville, where he goes to school, and did not realize he was traveling 50 mph faster than the other vehicles on the roadway. Deputy Zavorski contacted the District Attorney’s Office and charges were accepted for Reckless Driving. The driver was taken into custody, and then transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On October 27, 2010, Sergeant Hammons observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Fox Run Blvd, and initiated a traffic stop. The driver, 29-year-old male from Spring, had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle and his person. The driver also exhibited bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and was unsteady on his feet. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted, but due to his level of intoxication, the driver was unable to perform them correctly. The driver was taken into custody for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On October 29, 2010, Deputy Fruge was dispatched to a suspicious person call at the Home Depot at 6119 FM 1488. Deputy Fruge located the suspect, 37-year-old male from Montgomery, and immediately noticed him to be impaired. The suspect sluggishly exited the vehicle he was sitting in, had slurred speech, his eyes were glassy and pupils were constricted and unresponsive to light. The suspect was taken into custody for Public Intoxication. During a search incident to the arrest, the suspect was found to be in possession of two Oxycodone pills, one Seroquel pill, eight Methadone Pills, and two Social Security Cards, only one of which was his. Deputy Fruge contacted the District Attorney’s Office and charges were added for two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of a Dangerous Drug and Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

District 3 – Lt. Darrel Conn (East County)

On 10/22/10 Deputy Holden was dispatched to the Porter Walmart in reference to a shoplifter call. Upon his arrival he met with loss prevention who advised that they observed the suspect conceal merchandise in a bag and proceed to the customer service desk where he attempted to return the merchandise totaling $69. The suspect was then detained by loss prevention. The suspect, a 40 year old male from Florida was arrested and charged with Theft.

On 10/23/10 Deputy T. Smith was dispatched to the 23000 block of Hwy. 59 in reference to an intoxicated person urinating on an HPD patrol car. Upon his arrival he found the subject and found him to be highly intoxicated. The suspect, a 25 year old male from Porter was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

On 10/24/10 Deputy T. Smith was dispatched to the 23000 block of Forest Green Ln. in reference to a Family Violence call. Upon his arrival he made contact with one of the individuals and found that he had three active traffic warrants from Pct. #4. The suspect, a 25 year old male from New Caney was arrested for said warrants.

On 10/24/10 Deputy Amstutz was dispatched to the 15000 block of Tram Rd. in reference to a welfare concern. Upon his arrival he learned that the female suspect had been walking in the middle of the road with a child in a stroller and another child walking with her. He interviewed the female and found she was under the influence of drugs and had endangered both children in the roadway and vehicles were swerving to miss them. The female was also found to be in Possession of Marijuana. Both children, 5 months and 6 years old were unharmed. The suspect, a 24 year old female from Splendora was arrested and charged with two counts of Endangering a Child and Possession of Marijuana.

On 10/29/10 Deputy Holden was dispatched to the 24000 block of FM 1314 at the Walgreens in reference to a Prescription Fraud. Upon his arrival he met with the pharmacy and learned that the suspect had presented a prescription that was forged and had verified this with the doctor’s office. The suspect, a 28 year old female from Cleveland was arrested and charged with Fraudulent Use of a Controlled Substance.

On 10/29/10 Deputy Walker and Deputy Morris were dispatched to the Porter Walmart in reference to a Theft call. Upon his arrival he met with loss prevention and learned that the suspect had concealed $52 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying. The suspect was then detained by loss prevention. The suspect, a 53 year old female from Kingwood was arrested and charged with Theft.

On 10/31/10 Deputy Amstutz was dispatched to the 15000 block of Old Houston Rd. in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon his arrival he met with witnesses who stated that they observed the suspect driving on the shoulder of the road on Hwy. 242 and went off the road. The suspect then entered the road and went into oncoming traffic running vehicles off the road and almost causing several collisions. The vehicle then continued to almost cause several collisions and ran several vehicles off the road. The driver/ suspect, a 26 year old male from Conroe was arrested and charged with Reckless Driving.

On 11/1/10 Deputy Jackson was dispatched to the 18000 block of Martin Dr. in reference to a Family Violence Call. Upon his arrival he learned that the suspect had taken a handgun and pointed it at the victims head and threatened to kill her. The suspect, a 63 year old male from Conroe was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault Family Violence.

District 4 – Lt. David Park (West County)

On October 30th Deputy Tavarez was dispatched to the area of 17000 Wagon Wheel in reference to a suspicious person. The Deputy arrived on location and observed a female subject asleep in her vehicle on the passenger seat. Upon speaking with the subject Deputy Tavarez could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from her breath and person. The subject was arrested for Public Intoxication and transported her to the Montgomery County Jail.

On October 28th Sergeant Sumrall went to a residence on Apache Drive to locate a 23 year old female involving an on-going investigation. Prior to Sergeant’s arrival, Dispatch notified him that the female subject had an outstanding warrant through Harris County. Upon arrival the Sergeant located the suspect and she was taken into custody. While at Female Booking, Detention Officer Hahs observed a clear plastic baggy fall out of the suspect’s clothes. The contents of the baggie tested positive for Methamphetamine. Additional charges of Felony Possession of Controlled Substance were added to her Arrest Record.

On October 28th Deputy Crandell and Sergeant Sumrall responded to a Warrant Service in the 16400 Block of Butera. Upon arrival Deputy Crandell observed a female matching the suspect’s description inside the residence. The female was asked to identify herself at which time she gave a false name and fake date of birth. Several other people in the residence gave the Deputies her real name, which matched the name on the warrant. The female suspect was taken into custody for two outstanding felony warrants and for Failure to Identify Fugitive from Justice. The subject was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On October 28th Sergeant Russell was dispatched to the Prairie Rose Club in Reference to a Disturbance in Progress. While in route the Sergeant located the 47 year old female suspect walking on SH 249, she was detained and brought back to the club. A club employee advised the suspect had become belligerent and was trying to start fights with other patrons. He had intervened and attempted to guide the suspect out of the bar at which time the suspect had spun around and punched him twice with a close fist. The suspect was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass, Assault and Public Intoxication. She was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On October 22nd Deputy Mittag and Deputy Herman were dispatched to the 32000 block of Hwy 249 in reference to a Disturbance with Weapons. Prior to the Deputies arrival dispatch advised the male suspect in the disturbance had warrants for his arrest. Upon arrival the Deputies observed the suspect leaving the Prairie Rose Club. When asked his name he provided inaccurate information. However Deputy Mittag recognized him from booking photos and prior arrests and he matched the description. The suspect was taken into custody for warrants and Fail to Identify Fugitive and transported to the South County Jail.

District 5 – Lt. Gary Welch (Northwest County)

On October 27th Sgt. Spiller responded to the 22700 block of Sharp Rd to conduct a Warrant Service. A male matching the description of the individual named in the warrant was located and detained for questioning. The male responded by giving a false name to Deputy’s in an attempt to elude arrest. During the course of the investigation the true identity of the subject was learned and the male was arrested on the outstanding warrant for Parole Violation, Fail to ID (Fugitive) and placed into the Montgomery County Jail.

On October 28th Deputy’s Coward and Santoro responded to the 3200 block of Woodwind in regards to an Assault. Investigation revealed that a husband and wife had been involved in a physical altercation which led to the wife being assaulted and suffering minor injuries. The husband was arrested for Assault (Family Violence) Class C Misdemeanor and placed into the Montgomery County Jail.

On October 29th Deputy’s Santoro and Davis responded to the 19200 block of Mary Ln in regards to a Disturbance. It was learned that a male and female (boyfriend & girlfriend) had been involved in a verbal altercation where the female had been threatened with bodily injury by the male. In an attempt to place the male under arrest for the Assault, the male physically resisted both officers and had to be restrained. The male subject was taken into custody, without injury, for Assault (by threat) (Family Violence), Resisting Arrest and placed into the Montgomery County Jail.

On October 30th Deputy Favorat responded to the 100 block of April Sound Blvd in regards to a vehicle that had approached the entrance to the controlled access subdivision and appeared to have been occupied by an intoxicated driver operating the vehicle in an erratic manner. Upon arrival and making contact with the female driver it was suspicioned that she was under the influence of alcohol. The subject was administered several standard field sobriety test then subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Misdemeanor B. The subject was then placed into the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On October 30th Deputy Davis responded to the 100 block of April Point N in regards to an Assault. It was learned that a husband and wife had been involved in a verbal and physical confrontation in their home. Both individuals involved reported being assaulted by the other but suffered no visible injuries. Due to mutual participation during the assault, both individuals were issued citations for Assault (by contact) (Family Violence)and separated to prevent further violence.

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

On October 22, 2010, Deputy Prince was dispatched to a Disturbance Call at 9595 Six Pines Drive. Upon arrival, the suspect, 36-year-old Female from Flower Mound, was belligerent with the security officers on scene. She exhibited red, glassy, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and had a hard time maintaining her balance. The suspect was given several opportunities to call a friend to come take her home, before being placed into custody for Public Intoxication. Upon arrival at the Jail, the suspect continued to be belligerent with Jail Deputies. While inventorying her possession, a clear orange pill bottle was located with 19 Phentermine pills (Class III drug). There was no identifying information on the pill bottle, and the suspect was additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

On October 24, 2010, Deputy Evans and Sgt. Jenkins observed a vehicle traveling westbound on Woodlands Parkway at Terramont with no headlights on. Deputy Evans initiated a traffic stop at 10000 Woodlands Parkway. While speaking with the driver, 21-year-old male from The Woodlands, Deputy Evans was notified by Sgt. Jenkins that there was a clear bag with what appeared to be marijuana in the vehicle next to the radio. When Deputy Evans asked the driver about the bag, the driver replied that it was marijuana. A further search of the vehicle, incident to the arrest, yielded a second bag of marijuana. The driver was placed into custody for Possession of Marijuana, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On October 31, 2010, Sergeant Barber was traveling west on College Park Drive when he observed two vehicles racing. Sergeant Barber accelerated and intercepted the vehicles, which were travelling approximately 100 mph, initiating a traffic stop of one of the vehicles. The driver, 41-year-old male from Victoria, was taken into custody for Racing. The passenger of the vehicle, 28-year-old female from Victoria, was arrested for Public Intoxication. Both were transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

The following Shoplifting Arrests were reported:

10/19 – Deputy Koonce arrested a 21 year old Female from Conroe at 1201 Lake Woodlands for Theft. The suspect attempted to take approximately $336.50 worth of merchandise from Macys. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

10/22 – Deputy Ward arrested a 25 year old Male from Houston at 3040 College Park Drive for Theft. The suspect attempted to take approximately $290.90 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

10/23 – Deputy Houstoun arrested two 15 year old Females from The Woodlands at 1201 Lake Woodlands for Theft. The suspects attempted to take approximately $187.00 worth of Merchandise from Macys. The suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Facility without incident.

10/26 – Deputy Houstoun arrested a 27 year old Female from Spring at 1201 Lake Woodlands for Theft. The suspect attempted to take approximately $98 worth of merchandise from Macys. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
