...Strong Thunderstorm Near Todd Mission...
At 158 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Todd Mission, or 11 miles north of Prairie View, moving northeast at
40 mph.
Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Montgomery, Todd Mission, Plantersville, Richards, Dobbin and Dacus.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in League City.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 PM CDT
FOR WEST CENTRAL SAN JACINTO...NORTH CENTRAL MONTGOMERY AND
SOUTHEASTERN WALKER COUNTIES...
At 153 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located north of Lake
Conroe Dam. A new storm, 8 miles east of New Waverly, or 11 miles
northeast of Willis, has also developed, moving northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Northwestern Conroe, Willis, Panorama Village, New Waverly and Lake
Conroe Dam.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for southeastern
Texas.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
If on or near area lakes, get away from the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
