With a painful but grateful heart to God,
Peter Russell Howard of Conroe, 77, passed away of February 14, 2018 in the comfort of his home after bravely fighting illnesses. His final days were spent surrounded by family that he loved dearly.
Peter was born in Geneva, Ohio on December 7, 1940 to parents of Paul and Francis Howard. He graduated from Geneva High School in 1958. He married Patie O’Donnell of Geneva, Ohio on May 16, 1975. Pete and Patie then relocated to Houston in 1976 and then moved to Conroe in 1983. Pete and Patie shared 42 years of love.
Peter retired from Akzo Nobel in 2007 after 23 years. Akzo Nobel in 1995 honored him with the “Million Mile” award. Although he worked his entire life as a long distance truck driver, his true passions included restoring vintage automobiles and trucks, as well as traveling and spending time with his family.
Peter Howard is survived by his brother; Robert Howard of San Antonio, Fl., sister; Judy Howard, of Geneva, Ohio. He has three surviving daughters; Tammy Lynn Ondrejka, Kimberly Ann Wakenshaw and Khristine Mary Jennings all of Orange Park, Fl. Pete had two step children; David Arnold of Grangerland, TX and KrisAnn Rush of Orem, UT. Peter has 6 grandchildren; David, Hali, Shana, Shelby, Hannah, and Colin as well as 7 great grandchildren.
