Just before 2:30a.m. Sunday morning a yet unidentified 22-year-old Tomball man was driving north in the 32000 block Walnut Creek near Turtle Creek when for unknown reasons he left the roadway crossing through a fence as his vehicle flipped and slammed into a tree. The impact was so strong that it not just uprooted the tree but snapped the top out of it. The driver was the only person in the vehicle and was ejected.
Magnolia Fire Department and MCHD responded to the scene and determined the driver was deceased.
DPS responded to the scene with Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office assisting with traffic control.
The road was reopened just before 6 a.m.
The name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
