Law Enforcement Officers descended once again on Polk County Tuesday night and Wednesday morning as yet five more marijuana fields were discovered. A area resident reported finding a water well run by a underground generator using a muffler. Hoses and water lines carried the water to the fields which yielded just over 6,000 plants of which some were ten feet in height. This field was found more than ten miles from the last find near Goodrich. The field which was on FM 943 approximately two miles east of SH 146 in southeast Polk County.
Officers from Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Polk County Constables Office, Livingston Police Department, DPS and DEA spent all morning Wednesday uprooting the plants and loading them on trailers. Polk County Sheriff Kenneth Hammack said several camps were found on the property but there were no suspects.
