On Thursday, March 03, 2016 around 11:30 a.m. the Cleveland Police Department received a call from the local Payless Shoe Store located at 114 Truly Plaza in reference to a robbery that just occurred.

A store employee reported to the police that a black female entered the store, and requested to be shown “large women’s shoes “. After being shown a few of the similar size shoes the employee said, she returned to the front checkout area of the store. The employee stated, shortly the female approached the checkout counter with a pack of socks, and acted as though she wanted to purchase them. The female instead stuck her hand inside of her jacket, and pointed what appeared to be a handgun at the employee, and demanded money.

The employee said, “the female aggressively grabbed her arm, and demanded the employee to open the cash register. The female let go of her arm, and suddenly grabbed the employee’s hair from the back of her head”. The employee stated, she immediately opened the cash drawer and gave the female the money, and the female turned and fled out the front exit door. The female was last seen walking quickly across the parking lot in a southeast direction toward Washington Street.

The female robber is described as a: Black Female, around age 30, heavy set, wearing black pants and a blue jean jacket, and had on pink sunglasses.
