The Pct. 4 Constable’s Office reports the following events:
* Pct. 4 Deputies served 33 civil papers throughout East Montgomery County, leaving 16 pending civil papers to be served. Two writs were served and 17 evections.
* Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office made 48 arrests in reference to J P 4 warrants (Class “C”).
* The Deputies with the Pct. 4 Constable Office also arrested three people for outstanding Montgomery County misdemeanor warrants and four felony warrant arrest. All were transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
No DL, No Insurance, No Way
Five vehicles were towed in the New Caney and Porter area for no DL and no insurance, and numerous citations were issued to the drivers for traffic violations. Three other traffic stops in the New Caney and Porter area resulted with two people being cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

* On Feb. 21, at about 6 pm, a traffic stop by the Pct. 4 Constable K-9 unit landed two New Caney men in jail. In a neighborhood in New Caney near Johnson Rd., 26-year-old Matthew Cooper was found to be operating a motor vehicle on a public roadway while in violation of the Texas Traffic Laws. A traffic stop was conducted after the Deputy observed the occupants of the vehicle throw narcotics from the vehicle before they came to a stop. The passenger was identified as Johnathan Cooper, of New Caney. Both men had previous arrest for narcotics and other felony crimes. The narcotic that was thrown from the vehicle was recovered by the Deputy Constable. The narcotics were baggies of methamphetamine and syringes with meth inside. Both suspects had no worries that a small child could have picked up the syringes from the roadside. Both men were taken to the Montgomery County Jail. Johnathan Cooper received a bond for $100,000 for the narcotics and a $50,000 bond for tampering with evidence. Matthew Cooper received a $50,000.oo bond for the narcotics.
*On Feb. 24 at about midnight Deputies with the Pct. 4 Constable’s Office observed a wanted felon in the 18000 block of Hwy 105 near the Security area. The wanted male identified as 44-year-old Gregory Gunter from Conroe. was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was arrested for his outstanding warrants and the possession of marijuana. A white female that was with Gunter was identified as 40-year-old Christina Lehman from Cleveland. After a weapons check for officer safety, Lehman was found to be in possession of a controlled substance in her purse. Poison Control was notified to help identify the narcotics. Lehman advised the Deputies that the narcotics were not hers since she had just borrowed the purse from a friend. Both Lehman and Gunter were transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
It’s Rodeo Time In Montgomery County
Drivers should be aware of trail riders throughout Montgomery County and Harris County. One of the oldest trail rides that makes its way to downtown Houston every year is the Spanish Trail Ride headed up Trail Boss Joe Cantrial. Trail Boss Cantrial met up with Constable Hayden after one of the last rest stops before crossing the county line into Harris County. Constable Hayden along with his crew helped the Spanish Trail Riders have a safe and enjoyable ride through East Montgomery County by providing constant police escort with marked patrol units.
