Pennsylvania Officer Killed In Liberty County



Monday, Michael Seth Georgiou, 35, a York, Pennsylvania police officer, celebrated his daughter’s birthday in Liberty County and visited friends before dying in a four wheeler accident.

DPS troopers were dispatched to the accident in the Tarkington area just after 4 a.m. According to DPS, Georgiou had left a residence on County Road 3011A westbound. He approached a T-intersection and over corrected, causing a 2012 Suzuki Kingquad to flip. He was ejected and landed face-first in a ditch.

Georgiou was transported to Cleveland Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5 a.m.

The crash was investigated by DPS Troopers Godfrey and Willoughby.

Georgiou, a graduate of Tarkington High School was a corporal with the York Regional Police in York, Pennsylvania.
