PLANE CRASH KILLS HUFFMAN COUPLE

Officials have released the names of four people killed in a plane crash Saturday near Hallsville. The small personal aircraft, a Cessna T337C, owned by Western Skymasters was traveling from Dallas to New Orleans when it crashed at about 7:30 p.m., according to Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Jean Dark. Dark said the aircraft might have encountered severe weather before losing altitude and crashing in a wooded area on private property about three miles south of Hallsville. The aircraft impacted wooded terrain south of FM 968 on Waldrons Ferry Road. in Harrison County south of Hallsville, Texas.
The airplane sustained substantial damage and the 4 occupants received fatal injuries (1 pilot, 3 passengers).
Witness heard a loud “boom”. The crash was then reportedly discovered by hunters. Dark said the pilot was William Robert Kendrick, 51, of Huffman. Kendrick and three passengers, Rebecca Marsh Kendrick, 47, of Huffman; Kaycee Ann Kendrick, 27, of Farmers Branch, and Coty Ray Shrum, 25, of Farmers Branch, were pronounced dead by Harrison County Justice of the Peace Pct. 4 Nancy George. Dark said further investigation would be done by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
