Police say home near school had adults, kids, drugs inside

Nine people were arrested Friday night in a home on Michael Street, just blocks from Magnolia Junior High, including two adult residents of that home, and seven neighborhood kids.

The trouble began when the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office asked Magnolia Police to check the location for a female runaway.

When officers arrived, two juveniles who were in the front yard ran inside the house. Officers went to the door and were met with a distinctive odor. They contacted Justice of the Peace Matt Masden, who signed a search warrant.

Inside the home, officers found narcotics, resulting in nine arrests.

Magnolia police were assisted by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Precinct 5 Constable’s Office.

The investigation is continuing.
