At 8:47pm Porter Fire Department was dispatched to Briar Tree and FM 1314 for a reported major accident with the victim entrapped.
When they arrived they found two injured victims in a 2001 Mazda Protege. The 17-year-old passenger was in serious condition and Life Flight was dispatched to the scene due to the time of getting her out and transporting. Porter firefighters worked quickly to free her that is was determined it would be quicker to transport her to Hermann Downtown by ambulance over waiting on the helicopter.
The driver of the vehicle Terrence Flaskamp was taken to Kingwood Hospital in stable condition. There were no other injuries that required transportation to a hospital.
DPS determined that a Black Ford F-150 was eastbound on FM 1314. The Mazda was westbound and turned left failing to yield and was struck by the Ford.

Traffic on FM 1314 was slowed for almost an hour.
