Tuesday evening Porter firefighters rescued a man from a tree on Summer Hills at Butterfly. The call was received just before 6:30p.m. and they arrived with a man hanging upside down in the tree. His almost severed lower leg was wedged between a large tree limb and the fork of the tree. After almost thirty minutes he was removed and flown to Hermann Hospital in Houston by PHI Air Medical in critical condition. Firefighters worked another forty five minutes to free the lower part of his leg.
