Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and MCHD responded to a reported animal bite on Cunningham Drive in Porter at about 1 pm on Monday. Deputies Baker and Spring were first on scene and immediately called for EMS as they had a 59-year-old female who was attacked by a pack of five dogs. The deputies attempted to stop the massive bleeding by applying tourniquets to the extremities. MCHD transported the female to Kingwood Medical Center in critical condition with bites to her face, legs, arms, back, and neck. She had been walking to the store when the dogs ran through an open gate and the attack took place. Montgomery County Animal Control took possession of the dogs. She was pronounced deceased at Kingwood.
