PRECINCT 5 BUSTS TWO DRUGS AND WARRANTS

On August 19, 2019 Deputies with the Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constables Department stopped a vehicle for multiple traffic violations.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Rickie Johnson, a 41-year-old male from Pinehurst, TX after he had attempted to identify himself using a false name and date of birth. The female passenger identified herself as Lynda Gomez, a 37-year-old female from Pinehurst, TX. Rickie and Lynda were both extremely nervous and they stated that neither of them had a driver’s license. While speaking with Rickie and Lynda the odor of Marijuana could be smelled coming from inside the vehicle. Deputies searched the vehicle and a bottle with the label removed was found containing 30 Xanax pills. Rickie and Lynda were taken to the Montgomery County Jail and during the booking process, Lynda was found to have another pill bottle hidden in her clothing that contained 39 ½ Ecstasy pills. It was also determined at the jail that Rickie had given a false name to hide the fact that he had an active warrant out of Pardon and Parole.
Lynda was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 (second-degree felony) and for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 (class A misdemeanor). Rickie was charged with failure to identify while being a fugitive from justice (class A misdemeanor) and also arrested for his active Pardon and Parole warrant.
