Precinct 5 Constable Deputies Recover Another Stolen Vehicle

Deputies with the Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constables Department were on routine patrol when they came across a 2004 White Ford F-250 being driven by Chad Johnson (37) of Magnolia. Upon stopping the vehicle they found that the license plate displayed on the vehicle came back to a 2005 Ford and the plate was stolen out of Harris County. Deputies checked the vehicle’s identification number and found that the vehicle was also stolen out of Harris County. The Deputies observed that the driver side front door lock had been punched out and that the vehicle was running without the use of a key. The driver of the vehicle stated that he had no idea that the vehicle was stolen. Deputies learned that the vehicle had been stolen on January 8, 2019. Chad Johnson was arrested for Felony Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. During a search of the vehicle Methamphetamine and Marijuana was located in which Chad Johnson admitted belonged to him. A criminal history check on Johnson showed that he is a documented gang member. Additional charges were added for possession of narcotics and Chad Johnson was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and released to jail personnel.
