On Wednesday, June 25, at approximately 8:00 AM, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies responded to the 24000 Block of East Terrace Drive, in Porter, in reference to an open door/building check. A resident had arrived to her home and discovered forced entry and the front door open to her residence. The resident retreated and contacted the Sheriff’s Office to check the residence. When Deputies arrived at the location to check the residence, they discovered a male resident inside deceased with what appeared to be gun shot wounds.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Units, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigators, and representatives from the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office responded and are still investigating at the scene. Identification of the deceased is not being released until family notification is made. The investigation is on-going and investigators are in the process of reviewing evidence.
