Friday morning Montgomery County Sheriff Tommy Gage promoted Lieutenant David Moore who has been supervising the Montgomery County Auto Theft Division to the position of Captain over the Montgomery County Jail. He will replace Captain Rand Henderson who was moved to the patrol division to fill the vacancy left by Captain Kevin Pullen, who recently retired as a Captain from the Texas Rangers. Pullen then joined the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office but moved on to the private sector.
Captain Moore and his staff of nine have recovered over 15,000 vehicles and heavy equipment since it’s inception. This equates to over $170 million dollars. He will now supervise jail operations with a staff of 268 sworn and civilian personnel.
Captain Rand Henderson will take over the patrol division which covers over 1000 square miles of unincorporated area of Montgomery County.
