PURSUIT ENDS IN CRASH

Just after 11 pm Wednesday a Montgomery County Precinct 4 Deputy attempted to stop a Suzuki motorcycle on Gene Campbell headed toward FM 1485. When he attempted to stop it the driver accelerated to close to 100 mph headed toward I-69. When he got to Vick Drive is where he made his mistake. Running into the neighborhood directly behind the East Montgomery County Substation for DPS, Precinct 4, and the Sheriff’s Office. Within minutes all exits out of the neighborhood were sealed off. Other units were able to track the bike just by its loud engine as it accelerated down the streets. When he turned onto Penny Street he lost control sliding across the pavement missing a DPS Patrol car my inches. The driver then tried to flee but was tased and stopped. He was transported to Kingwood Hospital for evaluation. The driver, identified as Howard Ferguson will be booked into the Montgomery County Jail on evading and charges of possession of a controlled substance. THe is not Fergusons the first arrest.
On October 11, 2019, Judge Grant sentenced him to 2-years in the Texas Department of Corrections for burglary. In 2012 he was sentenced to 1-year in the County Jail for possession of a controlled substance. In 2010 he was no-billed by the Grand Jury on a forgery charge. In 2007 he was sentenced to 2-years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for possession of a controlled substance. This was also not the first time he ran from the police. At least twice before they have had to chase him on foot. As the chase came to an end and the bike lay on its side with EMS removing the probes of the taser the phone on his motorcycle binged with a message from someone. It said, ” omg is that you running from the cops.” EMC wrecker towed the crashed motorcycle from the scene.
