Patrol officers were dispatched to “Advance America” located at 429 West Southline Street in reference to an aggravated robbery.

According to an Advance America employee, two masked suspects entered into the business as she was sitting behind the front counter. One of the suspects displayed a handgun, and the second suspect remained near the front door. The armed suspect jumped over the counter while pointing the gun at her. The suspect demanded money from the employee while holding her at gun point. The suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from a drawer, and then took cash from the employee’s purse before both suspects ran out of the front door. The suspects were last seen running on foot south toward the Super 8 Motel parking lot.

Both suspects were described as being two black males. The one armed suspect who jumped the counter was wearing a maroon flannel jacket,(black, white, and gray in color,) with a white shirt on underneath the jacket, a pair of dark colored blue jeans, and black shoes with a white trim. Was also wearing grayish colored gloves and had a black cloth type mask covering his head with only his eyes visible. The second suspect who remained near the door was wearing a black zippered hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, and black & white colored tennis shoes. This suspect hid his face with what appeared to be a white in color shirt, or cloth. The employee stated she was able to stay calm, and cooperated with the robbers.
