On December 23, 2010 , approximately 6:10 pm, Conroe Police Officers responded to a reported robbery at the Peak Nutrition Store located in the 1400 block of North Loop 336 in Conroe. Initial information indicated a black male suspect entered the business and robbed and assaulted an employee.
Arriving officers met with the two female store employees and determined that one of the employees needed medical attention and officers summoned EMS personnel. The two female employees, both in their 60’s, stated they were in the process of closing the store. The suspect entered the store and asked one of the employees about locating a certain type of pills for a family
The employee escorted the suspect to the area where the pills could be found and the suspect then pushed the employee into a metal display rack and then to the floor. While on the floor, the suspect pulled an object similar to a piece of pipe or wooden stick from his pants and clubbed the employee several times on the back of the head. The employee sustained non-life threatening but serious injuries. The suspect then ran towards the front of the store and grabbed two cash registers and slammed them onto the floor. The cash registers broke open and the suspect was able to gather approximately $150.00. The second employee saw what was happening and was able to exit the store and call for help. The suspect was last seen running southbound towards Loop 336.
The suspect was described as a black male with approximately six feet tall with a slender build. The suspect appeared to be in his 30’s and was wearing a dark color jacket, dark color pants, dark T-shirt, and a camouflage cap.
