SECURITY GUARD CARJACKED-GUN STORE BURGLARIZED

Around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, a security guard making his rounds at a shopping center in the 200 block of Sawdust Road in The Woodlands went to the rear of the old Kroger store, where he saw a black male who had come out of the woods and was lying on the ground. The guard didn’t know if the man was shot or injured. Using his cell phone, he called Montgomery County 911 and left the line open as he approached the man on the ground, who told him he needed his inhaler.

As the security guard repeated to the operator what was being said, another black male came out of the trees, pointing a .223 assault rifle at the guard. He was shortly joined by the man lying on the ground, who was also armed with an assault rifle.

They escorted the guard around the building, beating him about the head with their fists and then climbing into his Ford pickup truck which was clearly marked with the security company’s emblems and signs.

As the guard ran away, the pair of black males drove a very short distance in the parking lot and crashed the pickup through the front glass of Woodlands Tactical Police and Shooters Supply.

Once inside, they stole several weapons and merchandise. The owner of the business was not immediately able to list all items taken for investigators.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies were on the scene within minutes but were unable to locate the suspects, one of whom wore a jacket and gloves. The other suspect had a bandana partially covering his face.
