“Serve Week” Happening in Montgomery, Texas

Fellowship of Montgomery church is hosting “Serve Week” this week!

This is a week where Fellowship of Montgomery aims to affect and impact as many lives as possible in the community of Montgomery. We achieve this goal by coming together as the church and combining our resources, love, and time to show our community the selfless love of Christ.

Serve Week is one of the most exciting weeks of the year for Fellowship of Montgomery! It is a time when the people of Fellowship of Montgomery aim to impact as many lives as possible in the city of Montgomery and surrounding areas. We achieve this by coming together as the church and pooling our time, resources, and skills for the purpose of showing our community the selfless love of Christ.

This year we have had numerous projects and over 400 volunteers participate. All of the supplies were funded or donated as a collaboration between the City of Montgomery, McCoy’s Building Supply of Montgomery, Astro Fence Company in Conroe, and the members of Fellowship of Montgomery. As a part of Serve Week, we have been able to complete a 750 feet fence at a safe home for trafficked women, paint five houses, complete six major construction projects, and help clean a local cemetery and various other sites in Montgomery. Our volunteers also served alongside of people from the following organizations: Coat of Many Colors, Under Over Fellowship, Hopes Bridge, Compassion United, Coreluv, and New Life Women’s Center. We will end the week with assisting in boxing up and delivering meals provided by the members of China Chapel United Methodist Church to over 100 individuals on Thanksgiving Day.

Our goal in Serve Week is to mobilize our people to serve the Lord with their families and friends and impact the community of Montgomery with the love of Christ. We know that at Fellowship of Montgomery we have been blessed, and we want to be a blessing to others because of that. Senior Pastor Dale Talbert: “This time of year can be a difficult time for many. Therefore, our church decided this Thanksgiving Week we would find even more ways to serve our local community. We hope through these projects, we can be a blessing to the less fortunate families and our community as a whole. It is amazing to see God at work!”
