On March 11, 2013, officers with the Cleveland Police Department responded to Wal-Mart for a complaint of an adult male illegally taking photographs of young girls. The officers reviewed security camera video of the scene and interviewed the Defendant and numerous witnesses immediately upon arrival. The male was determined to be Aills, who is a registered sex offender who has also been convicted twice of failing to follow the sex offender registration requirements. Based on the evidence and interview of the Defendant, the quick response of officers prevented another sexual assault by this offender.
