845pm-SH 242 has reopened following a head-on crash in which a Mazda 6 traveling east at a high rate of speed lost control. The driver hit the concrete wall bounced off and struck a Ford Explorer head-on. The three occupants of the Ford suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Mazda who was trapped was transported to Memorial Herman in critical condition. Needham firefighters worked to free the driver. The speed limit on SH 242 is 50 except in the construction zone at 45.
