On Tuesday, April12, 2016, at approximately 8:25 PM, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a residence in the 11900 block of Megan Drive, in Conroe, Texas, in reference to a reported shooting.
Upon deputies’ arrival, it was reported that there was a verbal altercation between a male and female at the dispatched location. The verbal altercation between the male and female turned physical and a female family member attempted to intervene. Those two then had a brief verbal altercation when the male proceeded to his vehicle, which was on the property, and retrieved a gun from it. The male then again confronted the female family member that intervened in the physical altercation. At some point during this confrontation, the male discharged the gun, striking the female he was confronting. The individuals that were involved in the above listed altercation were still at the scene when the deputies arrived. Emergency Medical Personnel arrived at the location and transported the shot female to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crime Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators arrived on scene. After an investigation, it was determined there was probable cause to arrest the male shooter, Ronald Troy Teel, (date of birth 08/27/1961), for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
