As everyone is aware, on Friday September 4, 2015, Deputy Darren Goforth of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office will be laid to rest in Houston, Texas. The San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers will be sending a delegation, led by Chief Deputy Joe Schultea, to the funeral to honor this hero.
Governor Greg Abbot has issued this proclamation:
The San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office will participate in this event. At 11am, all on-duty Patrol Deputies will line up at the San Jacinto County Courthouse and will illuminate their emergency lights for 1 minute. We welcome any other county law enforcement to join us.
