At 2:20am this morning Woodbranch Police and Montgomery County Sheriff’s units attempted to stop a silver 2001 Dodge pick-up on FM 1314 near Old Sorters Road due to possible impaired driving.
The suspect led police on a slow speed chase for approximately two miles at approximately 20 MPH. The suspect drove on the wrong side of the road until he he struck the guardrail in the southbound lanes. The driver who was uninjured was impaired to the point he had to be transported to Kingwood Hospital for evaluation.
Charges of Driving While Intoxicated were filed on the driver. The District Attorneys’ Office refused to accept an Evading Charge. \
