SPD Officer Hardin Encounters Criminal “Mastermind”

On Monday, December 5, Splendora Police Officer Hardin responded to a motor vehicle crash with No injuries. Upon checking the status of one of the drivers, Officer Hardin discovered he was wanted for City Warrants. Officer Hardin took the driver to the Splendora Police Department where that driver contacted a friend to come help with a payment on his city warrant. When the friend arrived, he pulled from his pocket a large sum of cash and a bag of Crystal Meth and handed it to Officer Hardin.

The friend, 33-year-old Kevin Doak of Porter, not only paid for his buddy’s warrant but won himself a free stay in the Montgomery County Jail! Doak is charged with the third-degree felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, according to Sgt. Teller.
