The Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office arrested a Splendora man Wednesday on two Harris County warrants for Online Solicitation of a Minor. Stormy Christopher Smith, 23, of Splendora remains held in the Montgomery County Jail on $40,000 bond. Additional charges may be pending.
The Harris County Precinct 4 Internet Crimes Against Children team contacted the Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office regarding Smith last week and Montgomery County Precinct 4 assisted in executing a search warrant at his residence where evidence was seized regarding his relationship with a 15-year-old female. The relationship reportedly began online, but progressed to meeting in person and became sexual.
The Harris County ICAC team again contacted Constable Hayden’s office this week after an arrest warrant was issued for Smith. Montgomery County Pct. 4 Cpl. Looza and Deputy McHugh went to Smith’s residence but were unable to locate him. They later learned he was at a church service in Cleveland, so they waited until he returned home and took him into custody.
Smith will be transferred to the Harris County Jail and his trial will be held in that county.
