Corporal Denzler has been a police officer since 2012. In his law enforcement career he has served as Patrolman, Sergeant, Fire Marshal, and will currently hold the rank of Corporal overseeing the reserve unit here at SPD. Corporal Denzler is not new to East County! In his full time job he is a Fire Captain for the East Montgomery County Fire Department. He holds several certifications both in Law Enforcement and in the Fire Service to include; Arson Investigator, Fire Inspector, Certified Instructor in Law Enforcement, EMT, and Fire Service, Certified Tactical Medic currently serving on the East County Strategic Response Team (SRT), Field Training Officer (FTO), Swift Water Rescue Technician, and several other certifications. He is the recipient of several life saving awards, Harris County Fire Marshals Office Hurricane Ike Award, Fire Officer of the year 2008, Greater Houston Area Rotary Firefighter of the year 2013, and the East Montgomery County Fire Department Hurricane Harvey Accommodation.
Corporal Denzler is married and has 4 children. Chief Wieghat says Denzler’s professionalism and expertise will ‘up the bar’ yet again and bring quality service and medical expertise in front line law enforcement. Chief Wieghat notes the police officer is almost always the first to arrive on a shooting scene, major accident or major catastrophe. Therefore, having Corporal Denzler’s skill set is invaluable to an injured party. Chief Wieghat has requested Corporal Denzler to share his skills and train all the officers at Splendora Police Department in providing medical aid until the trained medical technicians or ambulance arrives
