ARRESTED FOR BLUE WARRANT
On October 4, a City of Splendora Police Department Day Shift Officer, while conducting area patrols, observed a known felon with a Blue Warrant at a residence near FM 2090 and Morgan Drive. Jeffrey Defee was subsequently arrested for a Warrant out of Pardons and Parole. Defee was transported to the Montgomery County Jail
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF WARRANT ARREST
On October 3rd-a City of Splendora Police Department, Day Shift Officer initiated a traffic stop near East River Road and US Highway 59. The stop led to the arrest of Dwayne Williamson for an active Criminal Mischief Warrant out of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office
PAIR ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
On October 3rd a traffic stop was initiated near East River Road and Kennedy Drive for a violation. A roadside investigation lead to the arrest of Jimmie Bynum and Amber Scogin for Possession of Controlled Substance. Bynum and Scogin were transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

SWAT TAKES DANGEROUS FELON DOWN
On the night of October 5, 2020, the EMC SRT ( East Montgomery County Special Response team) executed a Felony Arrest Warrant for a subject wanted in connection with an Aggravated Assault/ Family Violence with Weapon charge out of the City of Roman Forest. The City of Splendora Police Department’s sUAS ( Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems) Division pilots assisted in the arrest of Shawn Detray Thompson, which took place in the City of Cleveland, Texas. Thomspon was transported and booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
The EMC SRT is comprised of members of The City of Splendora Police Department, The Splendora ISD Police Department, The Roman Forest Police Department and The Patton Village Police Department.

ARREST ON A MCLENNAN COUNTY WARRANT
On October 6, a City of Splendora Night Shift Officer initiated a traffic stop at Fostoria Road and US Highway 59 for a traffic violation. The driver, who was identified as Reynaldo Vasquez, was wanted from McLennan County for a Warrant and was taken into custody.
100 MILES PER HOUR EQUALS TRIP TO JAIL FOR DOPE
On October 7, while on patrol, A City of Splendora Police Department Officer observed a motorcycle accelerate at a high rate of speed. The motorcycle reached excessive speeds of above 100 miles an hour and our Officer initiated a traffic stop. During a roadside investigation, it was discovered that Kayla Perry was in Possession of Methamphetamine( 2.4 g). Perry was placed in custody and transported to jail.
ARRESTED FOR FAMILY VIOLENCE
On October 6, a City of Splendora Police Department Officer was dispatched to a Family Violence call. During the investigation, it was discovered that an Assault had taken place. David Jackson was arrested for Assault- Class C- Family Violence, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
ARRESTED FOR BLUE WARRANT FROM TEXAS PARDON AND PAROLE
On October 8, a City of Splendora Police Department Night Shift Officer initiated a traffic stop for Defective Equipment at East River Road and US Highway 59. The driver, Jeffrey Rhoads, had a Blue Warrant out of Pardons and Parole. Rhoads was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
ATTEMPT TO LOCATE CALL ENDS IN DWI CHARGE
Chief Wieghat and The City of Splendora Police Department continue to work around the clock to keep our streets and highways safe for our Community.
On October 8, a concerned citizen called in that a white Ford truck was swerving and had come to a complete stop on the Feeder Road in the area of US Highway 59 and FM 2090. Our Officer located the vehicle, and initiated a traffic stop. After a roadside investigation was conducted, the driver, Jaye Perkins, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Perkins was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
Welcome Splendora ISD Police Officer Solais!
 Chief Wieghat, Captain Hadrych, and Lt. Teller of the City of Splendora Police Department were honored to attend the swearing-in of the new Splendora ISD School Officer, as guests of Chief Weatherly. Judge Dunn officiated the ceremony for new hire Officer Solais.
ARRESTED FOR DRUGS AND A PAROLE WARRANT
On October 8, while on patrol in the Morgan Drive/ FM 2090 area, a City of Splendora Police Department Officer observed a wanted person out of Pardon and Parole. After being placed in custody, Eric Rodgers, was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine. Rodgers was booked in on the Blue Warrant and the additional charge of Possession of Controlled Substance.
HUNT IS ON FOR THE THIEVES
Officers with the city of Splendora Police Department executed a search warrant on a storage unit that contained stolen articles. Those articles were returned to their rightful owner. Our efforts will now focus on bringing justice to those responsible.
- ARRESTED LITTERING THE ROADSIDE WITH METH
On October 10, a Night shift officer conducting an area patrol near US Highway 59 & Magnolia, when the Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction. Upon making the traffic stop, the driver was seen throwing out a clear plastic bag. After a roadside investigation and recovery of the bag containing methamphetamine, the driver, who was identified as James Henry was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
ARRESTED FOR RUNNING FROM THE COPS IN ANGELINA COUNTY
On October 11, a City of Splendora Police Department Officer initiated a traffic stop at US Highway 59 and East River Road. After a roadside investigation, Chad Jamar Gallow was found to have an active Warrant out of Angelina County for Fleeing a Police Officer.
