On 09/10/2020 A white male was seen getting out of a Black Ford F150 and entering the Shell station at US Highway 59 and East River. The male was observed placing a $300 item inside his pants and passing all points of sale.
The male returned on 09/12/2020 and attempted to conceal items inside his pants again. When the clerk spoke to him he ran to the same Black F150, entered the passenger side door, and left the scene. FAIL TO USE TURN SIGNAL RESULTS IN RECOVERY OF STOLEN VEHICLE

A City of Splendora Police Department Officer conducted a traffic stop at East River Road and US Highway 59 59 for Fail to Signal Left Turn. The Officer was advised by dispatch that the vehicle was reported stolen on 8/20/2020. The driver, Bussard, William, was also found to be in possession of Methamphetamine. Bussard was arrested for Unlawful Use of Motor Vehicle and Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1< 1G. Bussard was booked and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
TRAFFIC VIOLATION STOP RESULTS IN ASSAULT WARRANT ARREST

A City of Splendora Police Department day shift Officer initiated a traffic stop for a violation at FM 2090 and Cox Street. The driver, Matthew Lee Cloud, was found to have an active warrant for Assault Causes Bodily Injury( Class A). Cloud was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
FAMILY VIOLENCE STRANGULATION RESULTS IN ARREST AND ICE HOLD
On Tuesday, our officers responded to a call of Family Violence. Upon arrival, we learned the suspect left the scene. After interviewing the victim and gathering leads, our officers filed an arrest warrant for the suspect. The investigators worked tirelessly tracking down the suspect. After visiting his employers and family members where he had been staying over the last few days, the suspect knew the pressure was on. Yesterday, the suspect who is identified as Bartalome Garcia-Sanchez walked up to a deputy with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to turn himself in. Our officers responded to the scene and placed Garcia-Sanchez in Custody for Assault Family Violence Strangulation. Garcia-Sanchez is currently in the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Jail where he is being held with No Bond due to an ICE Hold. His initial bond was set at $100,000.

A City of Splendora Police Department night shift Officer initiated a traffic stop for Unconfirmed Insurance. After a roadside investigation, it was learned that Derrick Holcomb had 2 Warrants out of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Holcomb was booked and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

DRIVING ON A FLAT TIRE RESULTS IN DWI ARREST

A City of Splendora Police Department night shift Officer initiated a traffic stop because the actor was driving on the rim, with smoke and sparks flying. After a roadside investigation, it was determined Miguel Angel Mata was intoxicated. Mata was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
SPEED AND FAILURE TO YIELD TO EMERGENCY VEHICLE
Officers patrolling US Highway 59, when they observed a white truck traveling 80mph along with failing to yield right of way to an emergency vehicle. Officer initiated a traffic stop and identified the drive to be Michael McAnally, who admitted to leaving a local bar where he had consumed alcohol. After a roadside investigation, McAnally was placed in custody for DWI and Unlawful Carry. McAnally was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

DUO BUSTED FOR GIVING FAKE NAME AND METH AFTER TRAFFIC VIOLATION STOP
On 09/13/2020 a Patrol Supervisor observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation at Fostoria and Cole. During a roadside investigation, the driver, identified as Christopher Mowrey, became extremely nervous, and the Supervisor had him step out of the vehicle. During a frisk of his person, a small plastic bag containing a clear crystal substance, that the Officer was able to identify as Methamphetamine, was located. The other City of Splendora Officer was on scene assisting, and, upon discovery of the Methamphetamine, had all the passengers exit the vehicle. While identifying them, one of the passengers gave a fake name, and the Officer ran the males fingerprint in the Automated Fingerprint Identification System ( AFIS). It returned to a Victor Cabrera, who had an open Felony Warrant. Victor was placed in custody for the Warrant and Fail to ID Fugitive. Mowrey and Cabrera were then placed in custody and taken to the Montgomery County Jail. The Methamphetamine weighed 5 grams, which is a 2nd Degree Felony.

A City of Splendora Police Department Officer was on patrol in the area of US Highway 59 and East River Road when a vehicle ran a stop sign. A traffic stop was made and a probable cause search was conducted. The probable cause search located THC wax. The driver, Christian Reynolds Smith, was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
