SPLENDORA PURSUIT ENDS IN CRASH

Early Tuesday morning Splendora Police responded a person who believed they had just spotted suspects who had stolen a trailer. The vehicle was last seen on Holly Street. Splendora Police responded and spotted the white Dodge pickup pulling a silver box trailer with Farm License plates. When they attempted a traffic stop the vehicle fled. The female driver went onto US 59 and continued north at speeds of over 80 mph. Cleveland and Liberty County was alerted. Liberty County joined in at Cleveland and continued to FM 2025 where the driver exited. The driver then turned onto FM 2025 and continued toward Coldspring. San Jacinto County assisted as the vehicle turned into a trailer park and crashed into a tent behind a trailer. The male passenger jumped out and ran inside the trailer. He was found hiding under a bed. The female was taken into custody. The male and female who occupy the mobile home the passenger ran into were detained for questioning and released. The male passenger was detained and questioned. The female identified at Vadie Lena Hooper, 41, of Cleveland was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail on charges of evading arrest. The trailer was reported stolen in Harris County and also contained a 4-wheeler.
