Late Wednesday afternoon Liberty County Detectives were conducting a missing person investigation on County Road 2134 off FM 787 in far northeast Liberty County. When they arrived at the home they knocked and knowing several people were in the home attempted to make contact with them. After a short time and after waiting on backup a PA was used.
Over thirty minutes later the first of the occupants of the home emerged. Over the next thirty-minutes six more emerged. One male was arrested for open warrants. Two women and four additional males were detained. As deputies made their way into the home to secure it they discovered an extensive amount of ammunition, wire, caps and explosives in the old mobile home.
ATF was notified and arrived on the scene from Beaumont to determine what to do with the discovery.
The home is situated just down the street from the February 14th standoff in which a male arrested admitted to being part of the Texas Malita.
