Fire Weather Watch in effect Tuesday afternoon…
The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a
Fire Weather Watch… which is in effect Tuesday afternoon.
A much drier airmass will move into the region in the wake of a
passing cold front tonight. Relative humidities will fall to 20 to
25 percent in the afternoon hours on Tuesday along with north
winds 15 to 25 mph. After evaluating additional data later
tonight… portions of this watch may need to upgraded to a red
flag warning.
Precautionary/preparedness actions…
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
red flag warnings.
