On April 15th a Montgomery County Grand Jury has indicted Billy D. Ramage, age 58 of Cleveland, Alabama.
On July 7, 2003, a five-year-old female was sexually assaulted by her step-father while inside her residence in the Conroe area.
In 2008, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Cold Case Detectives submitted evidence in this case to the forensics lab. Evidence was found and uploaded into CODIS in 2009. Evidence matched with Billy Don Ramage Sr. (white male, 58 yoa). Ramage Sr. was charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and arrested in Cleveland, Alabama. Ramage Sr. has been incarcerated in the Montgomery County Jail on a charge of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and held on a $250,000 bond since July 24th of 2009. Ramage’s trial started Monday, he was charged with three counts of Sexual Assault of a Child. The jury found him guilty on two of the counts where DNA evidence was available. However, the jury returned a not guilty on the third charge.
Judge Seiler today imposed an 80 year sentence on Ramage in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
