About 2:45 pm Cleveland Police received a call from a frantic mother stating she had gone into the nail salon for just a moment in the 1500 block of East Houston in Cleveland. When she came out her 2019 Toyota Rav 4 dealer loaner car with her 2-year-old child in it had been stolen. She also stated her purse was in the vehicle with a pistol in it. An attempt to locate was issued immediately.  One hour later a call came into the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office that what was believed to be the vehicle had been located in front of a day-care on Loop 494 and Northpark in Kingwood. Officers from multiple agencies responded. A Precinct 4 deputy arrived and was able to locate the vehicle with the baby inside. A person at the daycare stated a black male was seen walking away from the vehicle and stated a baby was inside. That person was able to get a good description and police located the male walking across the parking lot across the street. He was immediately detained. MCHD responded to the scene to check the child who was unharmed. The purse was also located in the vehicle.  According to the Cleveland Police Chief, the suspect, Eric Damon Soloman, age 36, has been returned to Cleveland and faces aggravated kidnapping charges along with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The father James Burgess thanked the Cleveland Police Department for the quick response and thanked “Rowdy’s Boys”, for locating the child and suspect. He also thanked law enforcement for all they had done for the little girl. He said, “God has done another miracle.”
